Pro Bono

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) refers to the obligation of business enterprises to positively impact their communities. At Itkan Law we take this responsibility very seriously, with a vision that embraces all of Libya. Our aim is for the entire nation to thrive and we are committed to helping to build strong institutions, promote social trust and ensure law and order. We also believe that all persons should have adequate access to justice.

In furtherance of these goals, all Itkan lawyers are required to devote a certain percentage of their time and efforts to providing free legal advice to those who cannot afford it.

We determine the areas of focus for our CSR efforts on an annual basis. For 2021 we have decided to focus on providing pro bono legal assistance to the following three categories of potential clients:

• Foreign wives in Libya
• Immigrants in Libya
• Non-profit and non-governmental organisations (NGO) in Libya.
